If you are interested in having a little fun while at the beach, beach metal detectors can be a good idea of something that can keep you busy. If you decide to use one of these detectors, keep in mind what things these items can and can not do. For example:
• You can find metal - If you are looking for buried treasure, there's a good chance these detectors are collected in the treasure. Of course, the chances are slim to none that you really going to find something like this. However, metal detectors are very good in order to find things like jewelry and coins. So if you have lost something and you're looking for, you can try a metal detector.
• Depending on the sensitivity of the metal detector you purchase, there is a good chance that you could find more trash than you want. A sensitive metal detector can definitely pick up things like jewelry and coins, but can so easily pick up things like bottle caps and foil.
You should think a little about the kind of thing you want to accomplish with your beach metal detector before you actually go out and buy one. If you are a beginner, it is likely that beach metal detector are the place to start.
Most people are working during the week and the beaches are not as crowded as they would on the weekend. If you add up all those who have visited the beach during weekdays (Monday - Friday.) Would figure to be about the same size crowd you see on the weekend. So, try it on a Friday night after work. I bet you will not see your competition - unlike the next morning - they are all there too early. Instead, you can relax and do what they did Friday night, shopping, eating, etc. Or if you are a die-hard like we are go to another beach less popular and see what else you can score.
Most of the beaches around here are charging an entrance fee, usually 8 a.m. until 5 pm during the summer, but this varies from beach to beach. Sunday evening is your best option, after a busy weekend. Start with the most visited and most popular beach. If you are not having much luck, try another. Find the beach more productive and focus on just that. Sometimes we go through metal detectors at night on the beach, but it is not easy to do, and the police came a while, flashing headlights in your eyes and wanting to know what we were doing there. They were looking for some scandalous teenage neighbors complained.
Always cover your holes, yes even on the beaches! People who are walking and jogging, rarely look where they go! Always take the garbage you dig with you. Many times we get home and go through our trash, and discover things you thought were garbage, which was a treasure.
Well, there you have it, after giving valuable advice to all our might you are ready to go...
